Mark Jolley is the founder of Floor and one of Brisbane’s most experienced floor sanding and polishing specialists. With more than 35 years of hands-on experience, Mark has personally sanded and polished over 10,000 timber floors throughout Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.

For the Jolley family, timber floors have never simply been a business. They have been a way of life.

Mark’s father, Ivan Jolley, spent decades installing timber floors throughout Brisbane before retiring at the age of 80. Growing up around the industry, Mark learnt the trade from an early age and developed the skills, attention to detail and work ethic that would later build his reputation throughout Brisbane.

Today, Mark works alongside his son, Konnor Jolley.

Konnor has been involved in the trade since childhood and has worked full-time in the flooring industry since leaving school. He is a fully licensed QBCC tradesman and plays an important role in every project, including coating application and Floor’s specialised UV curing systems. Konnor represents the next generation of the business and will continue the family’s commitment to quality timber floor restoration into the future.

The family’s connection to timber floors extends even further. Konnor’s maternal grandfather also spent more than 60 years as a professional floor sander before retirement.

Few flooring companies can genuinely say that timber floors have been part of their family across multiple generations. For the Jolley family, knowledge, craftsmanship and pride in the trade have been passed from one generation to the next.

Mark founded Floor in 2017 with a vision to combine traditional craftsmanship with modern coating technology. Following the continued growth of the business, Floor was incorporated as Floor Pty Ltd in 2022.
